New Student Center

Georgia Gwinnett College is the nation's first public four-year college to be founded in the United States in the 21st century and the first four-year college to be founded in Georgia in more than 100 years.

Lord Aeck Sargent designed the 81,397 sf student center, the first facility of its kind on campus. The center houses a Barnes & Noble Bookstore, the main campus dining hall, student organization offices, a variety of student lounges, game room, copy and campus mail area, administrative offices, a ballroom and meeting rooms. 

The LEED Silver certified project was completed on a hyper-track schedule with program verification and schematic design successfully completed in just under two months. LAS provided planning, architectural and interior design services and worked with Brailsford & Dunlavey on program verification.
