Residence Hall & Sculpture Building

This addition to the Atlanta College of Art (now Savannah College of Art and Design) was designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop in collaboration with Lord, Aeck & Sargent. It includes a residence hall and sculpture studio. Glass façades are used along the perimeter of the campus, providing visitors with a look at art-making and other museum activities. This includes the bronze casting studio, where molten metal is poured and set for sculpture. Access to the MARTA transit station, located on the edge of campus, is incorporated into the exterior design thereby facilitating the use of public transportation.
