Eastern Michigan University
Ypsilanti, Michigan
The Mark Jefferson Science complex at Eastern Michigan University supports the teaching of biology, astronomy, chemistry, and geology programs. The building design includes a spherical classroom atop the atrium, highlighting the program itself. The 90,000 sf addition, now complete, is sustainably designed with exterior daylight controls, chilled beams and green roof. It is reaching for LEED Silver Certification.
Also underway is the 180,000 SF renovation of Mark Jefferson Hall. These new facilities will support the recruitment of students and educators alike.
