Low-Emitting Products and Furnishings

One of the most effective strategies for improving indoor air quality is the elimination of pollution sources. Interior products such as paint, carpet and flooring, adhesives and sealants, and furniture are typically the largest source of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) within the building envelope. Specifying low-VOC-emitting materials improves indoor air quality by reducing these pollutants. Through our early involvement with the LEED Rating System, low-emitting finishes have become an office standard, whether or not a project is pursuing LEED certification.
