Kim A. Williams

AIA

  • Director of Lord, Aeck & Sargent’s Austin Office with over thirty-five years of experience in all aspects of architecture with an expertise in historic preservation.
  • Earned Bachelor of Architecture with honors from Kansas State University - College of Architecture & Design in 1976. Distinguished alumni recognition in 1986.
  • Member of the American Institute of Architects, Texas Society of Architects and AIA Austin.
  • Member AIA Historic Resources Committee (former Advisory Board member).
  • Leader and advocate for the Texas Historic Courthouse Preservation Program. Has provided architectural services for numerous Texas landmarks.
  • Former Board of Director positions with Preservation Texas, Inc and the Hyde Park Neighborhood Association.
  • Delegate with the People to People Citizen Ambassador Program traveling to Russia and Eastern Europe.
  • Has worked internationally on a major business center in Estonia and served the U.S. State Department/Corps of Engineers as in-country consultant for restoration of three U.S. Embassy projects in the Baltic Republics.
  • Married with two children and four wonderful grandchildren.
  • Enjoys developing and building his family's historic retreat and sustainability research center (Hao Di) that includes adaptive reuse of an historic barn.
