Lord, Aeck & Sargent Receives AIA Georgia Architecture Firm Award

Firm’s Director of Client Development Also is Honored

ATLANTA, Oct. 20, 2005 – Lord, Aeck & Sargent was the recipient earlier this month of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Georgia 2005 Georgia Architecture Firm Award. Given this year for the first time, the award recognizes the firm for consistently producing quality design, developing a culture of professional excellence evidenced in numerous design and community awards, service to AIA Georgia and the Institute, consistent civic involvement, and fostering a learning environment to mentor interns.

AIA Georgia presented the award to Lord, Aeck & Sargent at the Chapter’s 2005 Design Conference and Expo, held Oct. 6-8 in Savannah, Georgia. Larry Lord, FAIA, accepted the award on the firm’s behalf.

“It’s an exceptional honor for our firm to have been selected as the AIA Georgia’s firm of the year,” Lord said. “We’re thrilled and extremely proud to be recognized by the organization that promotes the role our profession plays in improving the built environment.”

Selection of Lord, Aeck & Sargent for the 2005 Georgia Architecture Firm Award was made by a jury comprised of the seven AIA Georgia chapter presidents and two individuals from the general public appointed by the AIA Georgia management team.

Director of Client Development Honored

Also at the awards ceremony, Lord, Aeck & Sargent director of client development, Kenrick Higa, AIA, MBA, was honored with an AIA Georgia Certificate of Service for his contribution to the organization’s board of directors, where he serves as vice president of communications, and with a Presidential Citation for improving the standard of communications and graphics within the AIA.
