The Brix at Midtown

The Brix at Midtown is an apartment community for young professionals and students located in Grand Rapids, Mich., the second largest city in the state. The complex is within walking distance from downtown shops, restaurants, bars, parks and art venues and is strategically situated near Grand Rapids Medical Mile. The building, named for the midtown area’s reliance on local 19th century brickyards, began its first phase of leasing fall 2017 and reached its final phase May 2018.

Lord Aeck Sargent was selected to create a vibrant housing community to reflect the lively downtown area of Grand Rapids, which is experiencing a time of impressive population growth. The number of floor plans to choose from –– 25 in all –– is unique to multi-family living, a result of LAS working with the unique shape of the existing buildings on the property and a testament to the firm’s well-known expertise in adapting to the space, environment and needs of the client.

The unique complex contains 287 units with amenities including upgrades such as granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, 9-foot ceilings, in-unit washer/dryer and custom two-inch blinds. Amenities include a two-story fitness center, heated outdoor pool, golf simulator, grand fire pit and luscious green space. All the apartment units also have their own balconies/patios.
