Lord Aeck Sargent provided a site comparison study, master plan, design and construction/ observation services for the new school's facilities.
Two Atlanta high schools merged in 1992 to form North Atlanta High School. The facilities are the result of extensive renovations and additions to the former Northside High School campus. The new facilities include:
- A 300-seat multiuse lecture hall
- Renovated 500-seat theater including the addition of a proscenium, new projection facility and acoustical modifications
- A converted gymnasium that now serves as a 100-seat drama and dance studio
- New dressing and equipment rooms
- A new band/choral/orchestra facility
- Expanded media center
- New kitchen and cafeteria
- Second gymnasium
- Renovated planetarium
