Crescent Communities developed a transit-oriented, mixed-use development in Charlotte’s NoDa (North Davidson Arts and Entertainment) district called Novel NoDa.
The project is located at the now open 36th Street Lynx Blue Line light rail station.
Phase I of Novel NoDa features 344 apartment residences, 8,000 square feet of street-level retail space, an extended platform for the light rail stop, an open plaza and a 175,490 sf above-ground pre-cast parking deck. Community amenities include an outdoor terrace, private rail lobby, dog wash station, resident workshop, clubroom, fitness center and private courtyards with a pool, grilling area, green space and fire pits.
An adjacent commercial parcel (Phase II) could include a mixed-use development with additional street-level retail space.
