Curran Street Student Housing
The Georgia Tech First Year Residence Hall, located on Curran Street, is designed to accommodate 862 beds with a focus on community engagement. The program features communal indoor and outdoor spaces including a “front porch” area for relaxation and connection to the campus ecosystem, while ensuring resident safety and future connections to the Westside neighborhood of Atlanta.
Student engagement is highlighted with ground floor communal spaces including e-gaming, a 24-hour automated market, fitness, and ample study rooms of varied sizes. Community is further layered throughout the building with multiple scales of gathering spaces for creating connection between students. Lord Aeck Sargent and Mithun have worked hand-in-hand to collaborate on innovative solutions for the building combining our expertise for this exciting project. This project was designed in partnership with Mithun.
